nothing makes me feel more fulfilled as an artist than to see my artwork hanging in someones home and know that it's appreciated. this is the second painting i made for +Michelle Jaeckel at yellow suitcase studio. she took these photos of my artwork in her home so i could share them with you. did you see the other one? sometimes when i make a painting i really like it can be hard to let it go. especially when i don't have time to hang it up in my studio for a while. however, when i see how great it fits in to someone's home or space my heart starts jumping with excitement and i'm not only comforted, but so happy that it's in a good place. it's like when you are little and you get your drawing put up on the fridge. you feel special and proud. my artwork is like little pieces of me that i am a kind of bit protective of. silly? maybe, but i put a lot of feeling into what i do so i care about where they live.

although we have many paintings in the house as my husband and i both love art, there is one painting that we agree is our favorite. that's the one ariana made in one of your kid's art workshops. :) we have it hanging in our foyer so it can be seen as soon as you walk in and from the living room, dining room and kitchen. as soon as people come inside & comment on the house we point to that painting and say "our daughter made that one!" she has the biggest smile everytime we do that. :)
